To label Carl Sandburg's 18-14 SouthWest Suburban Conference victory over visiting District 230 rival Stagg on Friday, Oct. 5, as heaven sent would be a misnomer.

Actually, it was Heavrin sent.

The Eagles' Josh Heavrin provided two critical plays that allowed his team to end its four-game losing streak and keep its faint hopes for the state playoffs alive.
