A marathon in the south suburbs is scheduled to make its debut in June, but this one will not be shutting down streets or snarling traffic.

The yet-to-be-named event for charity is slated for an 8 a.m. start on June 1 and will be run on the track on the campus of Chicago Christian High School in Palos Heights. Instead of individuals running 26.2 miles, there will be teams of 26 runners with 25 of them running a mile each and one running 1.2 miles.
