There is something about Saturday for Sandburg’s boys basketball team.

The Eagles opened the season with a 5-7 mark but won two Saturday games in a row.

They knocked off Solorio Academy 79-59 in the consolation round of the Jack Tosh Holiday Classic on Saturday, Dec. 28 at York High School in Elmhurst.

That came a week after the Eagles beat Southland Prep at the Crete-Monee High School Showcase.
