After winning five of its previous six games, Sandburg did not have a losing streak since the last week of the previous decade. Unfortunately for Eagles fans, a losing streak began last week.

The Eagles lost to St. Ignatius 58-40 in Chicago on Jan. 21, followed by a narrow 42-39 loss to Lockport Friday night, Jan. 24, at the Eagle Gym in Orland Park.

“Little mistakes that you make here and there throughout the game, you just can’t afford to make them,” Eagles coach Todd Allen said.

With the back-to-back losses, the Eagles fell below .500 to 9-10.
