Sandburg’s baseball team became the first public school champ in the seven-year history of the Do It Stevie’s Way Tournament last year by beating St. Laurence 6-0 in the title game at Standard Bank Stadium in Crestwood.

The pairings for the eighth tournament are out and the Eagles battle St. Laurence in the first round at 4:30 p.m. May 10 in Burbank. St. Laurence is ranked No. 1 in the state by MaxPreps and Orland Park’s Matt McCormick is one of its stars.

The tournament is stacked again.
