Providence Catholic senior-to-be Kate Rost was more excited than most for the summer basketball season.

The Orland Park resident was thrilled to be back on the court competing with her teammates after she missed much of her junior season due to a broken bone on her right ring finger which required surgery.

“It’s good to be back,” Rost said. “We have a good team. We lost a few girls who were really good, so that’s tough but we have to recover from it, and we have a lot of good players stepping up.”
