When you run your best on the biggest stage it's all supposed to work out in the end, but on Saturday, Nov. 9 on the famed Detweiller course the 3A state boys cross country race was historic and a little disappointing for Sandburg. The Eagles fell three points short of the third-place state trophy, as they scored 156 points, with third place York at 153. St. Charles East was the winners at 64 followed by Wheaton-Warrenville South with 68.
