Sandburg graduate Alex Hirschfield has put up some big numbers during his high school years.

On the field, the linebacker’s 100 tackles in 2018 helped earn him earn all-state honors by the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association and was the only all-state player on a team with a sub-.500 record in Class 8A to make the elite list.

His 249 career tackles at the Orland Park school is the most in team history, knocking off current Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald off of the top spot.
