It is no secret that Sandburg’s boys soccer team gets off to slow starts in the win-loss column.

Veteran coach Desi Vuillaume loads up the schedule with tough opponents early, and wins are not as easy to come by as they are toward the end of the year.

This year, the Eagles had to wait awhile before pulling off that first “W.”
