Former Sandburg star distance runner Dylan Jacobs may have had a quiet cross country season as a redshirt, but the Notre Dame freshman is wasting no time making a name for himself in track.

He helped the Irish’s distance medley relay team win the indoor NCAA Championships on March 8 in Birmingham, Alabama as his 1,200 meter split was 2 minutes, 57.48 seconds to lead the foursome. Teammates Edward Cheatham, Samuel Voelz and Yared Nuguse finished things off as the team ran a 9:31.55.
