Action on a new ethics ordinance once again was tabled Jan. 7 during the first Orland Park Village Board meeting of the year. The vote to table the item was unanimous. The proposed ordinance, which was first tabled at the Dec. 17 meeting, aims to establish “ethical standards of conduct for appointed and hired employees and public officials of the Village of Orland Park, whether compensated or not,” according to a draft of the item.
