Jerling’s girls cross county team won its fifth straight SWIC title by two points.

Even in the rain, Jerling Jr. High School kept is reign as the top cross country school in the Southwest Interscholastic Conference.

Jerling’s girls won their fifth straight title and the boys won their third Oct. 1 at Moraine Valley Community College.

The girls had a close race against Grissom, 55-57. Century was third with 66.

Jerling’s Ava Giblin took second behind Palos’ Elle Kobilia. Jerling’s Katie Roche took fifth. Century’s Lilly Molloy took third and teammate Gianna Stoudt placed seventh.
