First year Sandburg girls soccer coach Katie O’Connell had a big smile on her face when asked what she likes about her team.

“What I love about this team is that they never give up,” she said. “They keep pushing all the way to the end.”

Boy, do they ever.

Sarah DeWolf scored the game’s only goal April 21 on an impromptu setup with just 1.7 seconds to play, as Sandburg shocked Lockport Township 1-0 in a SouthWest Suburban Conference Blue Division showdown in Lockport.
