Getting older — children want it so bad, yet it makes most adults groan.

What is the age when we stop wishing the years away?

As children, we can’t wait to be old enough to sit in the front seat, drive a car or go off to college.

Then, all of sudden, whammo! You’re the adult and not so keen on all the birthdays mounting up.

Years ago, I used to worry way more about getting older. Now, not so much, because really, what’s the alternative?
