An investigation into a fencing ring for stolen merchandise reportedly led to the arrests of two men from Orland Park and two individuals. The Orland Park Police Department is asking for the public’s help in acquiring further information about a recent string of residential burglaries in the area of the Village Square subdivision.

Since April 1, three residential burglaries and two more attempts were reported to police, according to a press release issued April 13 by the department.

Police are investigating a rash of successful and attempted burglaries reported May 9 and 10 in Orland Park.

Two attempts were made between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. May 9 — one in the 9000 block of Sunrise Lane, the other in the 9000 block of Carlisle Lane — but both were unsuccessful, after residents home at the time scared off the would-be burglar or burglars, according to a press release issued May 11 by the Orland Park Police Department.
